DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join ourdynamic team to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research andDevelopment for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. In this role, you will be responsible fordesigning, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that integrate seamlessly with ourGovernment Customer’s infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and reliable DevSecOps solutions. Our primary platform is Kubernetes based leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).Essential Duties And Responsibilities Be responsible for several cloud and containerization computing roles focusing onengineering, architecture, development, and administration. Assess a project's technology infrastructure and explores options for moving to the cloudand containerization. Oversee the migration and maintains the new system leveraging Infrastructure as Code(IAC) utilities such as Terraform, HELM, Ansible and Bash Provide expertise in container hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards Develop and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure onIaaS and PaaS platforms. Assist in the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications,policies, and strategy. Incorporate security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software,and applications. Evaluate and identifies the best cloud solutions for the project. Design controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology. Integrate component subsystems into a cohesive whole and ensures they function together. Design and implements cloud-based integration solutions that meet Governmentrequirements. Plan, coordinate, schedule, test, improve, and maintain IT systems. Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensureseamless integration of systems. Deploy and maintains cloud application databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra,MySQL. Develop and maintains comprehensive documentation for all integration processes andsystems. Troubleshoot and resolves complex integration issues in a timely manner. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuouslyimprove integration processes. Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to identify upgrade needs and integrationopportunities. Communicate with Government to determine optimal subsystem pricing/sourcing. Reports to leadership and stakeholders on infrastructure capabilities. Evaluate & recommend new technology & processes based upon cost, risk, mission.The Successful Candidate Will Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Have strong communication and collaboration skills. Be able to perform highly specialized, technical tasks associated with current and cutting-edge technologies. Be able to perform multiple tasks at specialist level.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities) Must have 12, or more, years of general (full-time) work experienceMay be reduced with completion of advanced education Must have 6, or more, years of directly related experience in system integration, with a focuson DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes. Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role Must be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift. Must have experience with Coder Platform Must have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, andcontainerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Must be able to develop & use exceptionally complex concepts & processes that spanmultiple organizations and disciplines.
