Visiting Assistant Professor in Legal Communication and Analysis
Position SummaryIndiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law invites entry-level and experienced applicants for a visiting professorship in the school's nationally ranked Legal Communication and Analysis Program. The visitor position is full-time and expected to teach up to 40 first-year students in Legal Communication and Analysis each semester.Responsibilities:Create course materials.Teach class sessions.Meet with students in one-on-one conferences.Review outlines and drafts.Assess papers.Provide detailed and constructive feedback to students.Appointment: a ten-month term for the 2026–27 academic year, with the possibility of reappointment for 2027–28. The visitor will receive an entry-level salary of $80,000, a professional development fund for legal writing conferences and publications, a research assistant fund, and university benefits.
