Donations from individuals and businesses help keep KidSmart stocked with millions of surplus and and new supplies and educational resources.KidSmart - Tools for Learning is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to strategize, analyze, evaluate, while directing and leading, the overall success manage overall success of the organization’s philanthropic relationships and stewardship efforts within its individual giving society. The Individual Major Gift Officer is a key member of the KidSmart organization and a key leader on the growing management team. Candidates for this position will share a commitment to KidSmart’s mission, an entrepreneurial spirit, be self-motivated and results driven. He or she will bring a proven track record of successfully meeting or exceeding goals, with management experience in sales and /or development strategy, closing gifts, event planning and execution, as well as marketing.Qualifications5+ years of professional level experience in fundraising. Minimum at the Director level.Experience directing fundraising plans, meeting or exceeding all annual fundraising goals, securing annual individual gifts in the range of $500-$24,999 and the ability to develop and execute high level strategies to meet annual philanthropy goals.Demonstrated success in maintaining and building relationships through successful stewardship. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including presentations in one- on- one and group settings.-Proficient in donor database management system ( Etapestry preferred), social media & web-based channels, Microsoft Suite.College degree required. MBA preferred.Preferred SkillsAbility to work independently.Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-based environment.Strong organizational skills.
