Carterville Community Initiative
1 out of every 5 people in our area never obtain a High School Diploma or GED. This is one of the reasons our area has 20% higher poverty than the rest of Missouri. We are turning the tables on poverty through our After School Programs and Residential Treatment facilities and Adult Skills trainings. We are committed to providing transportation to essential needs such as food and healthcare.
Member Duties : The Transportation VISTA will solve transportation issues that face our clients and our community. They will build a program from the ground up that solves these transportation issues. They will write policies and procedures for the program. They will raise funds for the program.
