LETTERSHOP OPERATOR
Job Responsibilities:
Examines work order to determine setup specifications and inserts sample documents in machine and adjusts calibration to conform to the specific job order specifications.
Adjusts and observes the folders operation on every job.
Assists technicians in minor maintenance issues, or as needed.
Handles, stacks, bands, and boxes folded material.
Backs-up other operators as needed or when requested.
Keeps supervisors informed of all pertinent issues.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Abides by all safety rules.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Good hand to eye coordination, ability to read mailing addresses and an understanding of zip code, barcode sorting process and schemes. Safe working habits.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some computer knowledge and computer skills
Ability to work in afast-pacedenvironment under time constraints and deadlines.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or moveup to 75 pounds.
