Discover a more connected careerAt North Sky Communications, the Payroll Manager has ownership for the Company’s payroll process, including responsibility for timely and accurate completion of weekly payrolls, compliance with laws and regulations, and will serve as the Company’s “subject matter expert” on payroll. This is a “working manager” position, requiring “hands-on” payroll entry and processing. The Payroll Manager will thrive working in a deadline driven environment, understand and implement complex payroll requirements, and identify ways to improve the payroll process. Interface with SAP software application for final processing of weekly payrolls.Understand complex payroll regulations, such as prevailing wage overtime and meal and rest period requirements.Perform duties in compliance with internal control procedures, including timely documentation.Primary point of contact for employees with questions about their payroll. Efficiently respond to employee questions.Process garnishment orders.Manage periodic updates of prevailing wage rates, and fringe benefit credits.Closely coordinate with Human Resources on benefits, law changes, FMLA, and other human resources issues impacting payroll.Respond to audit requests.Cross-train with other members of the finance department.Coordinate with field office staff on the timely submission of payroll hours.Review the certified payrolls of the Company’s subcontractors performing work on public works contracts, onboard subcontractors into LCP Tracker, and coordinate with subcontractors on certified payroll reporting.Identify ways to streamline the payroll process.Other duties as needed.What You’ll NeedAt least 5 years of experience working with high volume, multi-state payrolls.Experience with weekly construction payrolls preferred.Previous experience as a payroll supervisor or manager.Experience with payrolls for public works projects (i.e., prevailing wage payroll requirements) strongly preferred.Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.An upbeat but professional demeanor.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent verbal communication skillsA high level of attention to detail and accuracyEssential Physical Requirements (include But Are Not Limited To)Standard office environment requiring sitting at desk with some bending, stooping, walkingHours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer Needs and in compliance with any regulations; on average – must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week.The wage range for Manager Payroll is $81,000.00 - $110,000.00.Why work with usYour career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
