Bring your expertise, your fresh ideas, and your drive—we'll bring the rocket fuel.Your Mission (Should you choose to accept it)Execute all responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purposeOversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgerLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingEstablish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrityEnsure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and all applicable financial regulationsLead regulatory reporting and manage relationships with external auditorsImplement and optimize financial systems (e.g., ERP/NetSuite) to improve scalability and efficiencyServe as a strategic advisor to leadership on financial planning, pricing strategy, and resource allocationLead annual budgeting and multi-year financial forecasting processesMonitor financial performance and provide actionable insights on variancesManage cash flow, liquidity, and capital planning to support operations and growthPartner cross-functionally with department leaders to drive financial discipline and operational efficiencyLead financial due diligence and support M&A activitiesProvide financial reporting and insights to investors, financial institutions, and external stakeholdersLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting teamFoster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional developmentPerform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of responsibilities listed above)Pre-flight ChecklistBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience10+ years in leadership roles, preferably within the technology sectorProven experience managing full finance and accounting functions in a high-growth environmentDeep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting and compliance requirementsExperience with financial systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platformsStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, scaling organizationDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive change and resultsBonus CargoMBA and/or CPA certificationExperience supporting M&A transactions and due diligenceBackground in scaling finance organizations within startup or high-growth environmentsAdvanced experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planningAdditional InformationType: Full TimeUS-based Candidates: we are currently only able to hire residents of the following U.S. states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV We are unable to consider candidates residing in other U.S. states at this time.Internationally-based Candidates: we are currently only able to hire residents of the following locations: United Kingdom.
