Power Distribution Designer

About the CompanyOur team is looking for a Power Distribution Designer to join the team! We are targeting entry level and candidates with related experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team within a great company!About the RoleThe role will be fully remote doing 80% remote design and up to 20% local fielding. The only overnight travel may be at the beginning for training. Candidates must be self-motivated and have own reliable car to use for fielding. Candidates MUST live between Jackson, MS and South Memphis.ResponsibilitiesThis position focuses on fielding and then creating power distribution designs (small wire changeouts, pole changeouts, etc) for a large energy client.Training on the software will be provided.QualificationsCompleted HS diplomaRequired SkillsAbility to learn new design softwareReliable car, will have up to 20% field time (can be reimbursed mileage)Great communication skills and professionalismBe located in target areasAble to work 80% remotely and up to 20% at field sitesPreferred SkillsEngineering or technical degreesAny experience within utility/power industryPrior experience within power distribution designPrior experience with AutoCAD, GIS, DDS, PoleForman, Maximo, GDT, etcEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
