Location: Colorado Springs, COPosition Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Flexible scheduling availableCompensation: Starting around $43/hr, with flexibility up to $46/hr based on experienceBonus: $2,500 signing bonus availableAbout the OpportunityA nonprofit pediatric therapy organization in Colorado Springs is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to oversee and grow its Pediatric Physical Therapy Program. This is a unique opportunity for a PT who enjoys working with children, wants to make a meaningful impact, and is excited about the chance to influence and develop a strong pediatric PT program.This organization serves children ages 0–18 with a variety of diagnoses and is deeply committed to ensuring that lack of funding is not a barrier to care. The team operates in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and provides the therapeutic equipment needed for evaluations and treatment.The Physical Therapist will have the opportunity to manage the PT program, build a caseload, collaborate with other clinical professionals, and potentially hire and supervise PTAs as the program grows.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Physical Therapist will be responsible for:Managing the pediatric PT program, including caseload development and overall program oversightEvaluating children through caregiver interviews, physical examinations, and clinical assessmentsIdentifying the source of movement challenges, mobility limitations, pain, or functional delaysCreating individualized treatment plans with clear goals and treatment methodsHelping children improve mobility, movement patterns, strength, function, and independenceSupporting children in reducing pain, improving body mechanics, and recovering from injuriesMonitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as neededUsing therapeutic techniques such as functional training, exercise, adaptive equipment, and other evidence-based interventionsCoordinating care with a multidisciplinary team of professionalsProviding training and support to non-PT professionalsSupporting future hiring, training, and supervision of PTAs as the program expandsQualificationsQualified candidates should have:Active Physical Therapist license in ColoradoStrong background and clinical knowledge in physical therapyPediatric experience preferredExperience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, strongly preferredIdeally 2+ years of experience working with children1+ year of experience overseeing, training, or supporting staff preferredAbility to work independently while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication, organization, and caregiver-facing skillsA passion for working with children and helping families access quality careWhy This Role Stands OutThis is an excellent opportunity for a Physical Therapist who wants more than a traditional clinical role.
