Job Title: Install Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Work Hours: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Some overtime may be necessary. Reports to: General Manager Salary Range: 65,000 - 75,000 annually Home Power Systems is a Generac, Kohler, and Cummins generator dealer with locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, NY. HPS is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York. Home Power systems is currently seeking Install Managerto manage installations out of all of our locations and will be based out of Farmington, NY location. This position is responsible for developing and furthering company field talent in generator installation operations, through the facilitation of continued education. To also ensure quality control of installations, safety, code and manufacturer compliance through person and layered supervision. Maintain direct contact with the installation team on each job and/or visit the job site to assist with diagnosis and ensure that the installation is complete in a code complaint and in line with the HPS/CPS standard. Assist in the installation process – including assigning work scope to competent crews. Assist in the recruiting, hiring, promotion, salary increase, discipline and termination of all Install Technicians. Troubleshoot and on-site issues that may arise during the installation. Assist in the development of training and installation programs. Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes Oversee customer issue resolution including site visits, oversight of installations, and follow ups Review all on-site Quality Control and Customer Satisfaction reports Interact, communicate and maintain involvement with other departments, department managers and company executives to ensure that departmental and company processes, procedures and goals are being maintained Other duties may be assigned Requirements: Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school and at least 5 - 10 years of related experience. High level of knowledge of the practices, means, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the generator trade. High level knowledge of the prevailing codes of the generator trade. Ability to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled subordinates. Ability to analyze defects in generator systems, materials, and equipment and to determine necessary repairs. Ability to design, measure, and install gas and electric, custom for each job. Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the tools and equipment. Should have some supervisory/foreman experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb ladders, scaffolds, or stairs. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing over 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions or temperatures. Be detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment.
