Staff Engineer, Trace-Driven Simulator Development

San Jose, California, United States Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA office in alignment with our Flexible Work policy. Reports to: SVP, R&D (Power & Thermal Lab). What You’ll Do Implement and optimize trace‑driven power and thermal simulation engines. Manage a time‑indexed simulation flow across power and thermal domains. Generate transient power maps and perform spatiotemporal hotspot analysis. Interface with reduced‑order thermal models and CFD‑calibrated solvers. Ensure simulation performance, scalability, and reproducibility. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience. Experience building or extending simulation frameworks. Familiarity with discrete‑event or time‑stepped simulation architectures. Solid software‑design, debugging, and performance‑optimization skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with time‑indexed and event‑driven simulation.
