Human Resources Coordinator

We are partnering with a growing infrastructure organization seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations. This role is responsible for administrative execution, payroll coordination, and compliance, helping ensure a consistent and seamless employee experience across both corporate and field teams.This individual will play a key role in supporting a diverse workforce, partnering with team members across multiple functions to ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, and compliant.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:HR AdministrationMaintain accurate employee records within HRIS and personnel filesCoordinate onboarding and offboarding for both field and office employeesManage new hire documentation, background checks, and onboarding logisticsAssist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee questionsSupport HR reporting, documentation, and general administrative functionsPayroll CoordinationProcess or support payroll for a multi-state workforceEnsure accurate timekeeping, job coding, and approvals (including project-based work)Partner with operations and finance to validate payroll data and resolve discrepanciesAssist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and reportingCompliance & DocumentationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in a multi-state environmentMaintain I-9s, W-4s, and other employment documentationSupport safety and compliance tracking (e.g., certifications, licenses, training records)Assist with internal audits and documentation for regulatory or client requirementsEmployee SupportServe as a first point of contact for employee HR-related questionsProvide responsive, professional support to both field and corporate employeesAssist with employee communications and engagement initiativesProcess & Operations SupportHelp improve HR processes to support a growing and geographically dispersed workforcePartner with leadership to ensure consistency across projects and locationsSupport special projects related to workforce growth, systems implementation, or complianceQUALIFICATIONS:4-year degree in HR, accounting, or related business field2+ years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative supportExperience supporting payroll, ideally for a high-volume or multi-location workforceStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsFamiliarity with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, etc.)Working knowledge of employment laws and HR complianceProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience in field-based or project-driven environmentsExposure to multi-state payroll and compliance requirementsExperience supporting a growing or fast-paced organizationKey Traits for SuccessHighly detail-oriented and process-drivenStrong sense of ownership and follow-throughAbility to operate with urgency and flexibility in a dynamic environmentComfortable supporting both office and field employeesService-oriented, approachable, and team-focused
