If you have a passion to provide the best then look no further.Duties:· Create a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)· Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi· Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (like avocado, mango, and carrots)· Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi, and soy sauce, when appropriate· Manage food prep activities, like boiling rice· Coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies· Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed· Recommend new, modern recipes, like sushi burgers· Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shiftQualification:Knowledge and/or interests in Japanese cuisine is a must5 years’ experience (Required)Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is a mustPossess great knife skillAble to work in a team and independently with minimal supervisionAbility to perform any function around the sushi barMust be able to lift 50 lbsAuthorized to work in the USMust be able to work on weekdays, weekends, holidays and at nightsHIRO CO & Inc. abides by the Crown Act and requires all employees to maintain professional grooming standards (i.e no unnatural hair coloring, face piercings, or face tattoos.
