The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies in order to achieve sales, margin, and market share goals. This position will lead the QSI and Astro teams of sales representatives throughout Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri and report to the National Sales Manager of Rival Rural and the GMs of QSI and Astro.Core Value ExpectationsActively pursue high character, high trust, and high performance personally, corporately, and in all aspects of the positionProvide distinctive quality and unparalleled customer service both internally and externallyDemonstrate and promote integrity, respect, and teamworkInvite others to help you grow through living authentically with nothing to prove, lose or hideEvidence humility by actively receiving teaching and mentoringPrimary Role ExpectationsPromote the company mission, purpose, and core values in all activities and dutiesDevelop the strategic direction for the QSI and Astro sales teams to drive organic growth while maintaining profitability and maximizing resourcesLead and develop a high-performance sales teams including appropriate goalsetting, performance management and establishment of sales metrics to ensure a robust pipeline of sales opportunitiesAnalyze and understand industry trends to help develop solutions and pricing strategies that ensure competitiveness in the marketWork with leadership as well as internal and external resources to ensure delivery of the best overall customer experienceSales/OperationsDevelop sales strategies and implement initiatives for the team to grow the business by serving existing markets and targeting new key demographicsLead and assist in optimizing the full sales process from lead generation through building completion including areas such as quoting, design/engineering, project management, etc. to drive speed to revenue and an improved overall customer experienceTrain and develop the sales teams through effective sales skills development, performance management, and succession planning including conducting sales team meetings as well as individual seller 1:1sFocus on enhancing and developing an improved recruiting and onboarding program for sellers, prioritizing the needs for succession planning of existing sales staffProvide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new dealsSupport the sales representatives through building and expanding relationships with key customers and stakeholdersPlanning and Business IntelligencePartner with GMs to establish sales and financial goals for the company in coordination with Rival Rural leadership and plan and direct the sales team to meet these goalsCollaborate with the Controllers to assist in preparing the budget; measure and manage sales, revenue and margins to increase profitabilityDevelop and implement a sales optimization plan with monthly goals and updatesImplement initiatives to fulfill the annual optimization plan with monthly changes and updatesProvide ongoing reporting of sales metrics leveraging Hubspot CRM and other toolsAnalyze and develop KPIs to enhance our understanding of our existing customers, industry segments, geography's served, etc to drive improved company and individual seller performanceUnderstand the competition, micro and macro market needs and adjust as needed to drive organic growth and increased market shareEnsure process documentation is routinely updatedCommunityMotivate and manage personnel to meet operational and financial goalsCreate unity by working with all employees and stakeholders to meet needs and improve processesSelect, assign, and develop sales staff; conduct performance reviews; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problemsEnsure a safe and healthy work environment for all employeesKnow each employee by name, demonstrate care and trust and build relationships as applicableRequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, construction or engineering field is desired5+ years of applicable, industry, leadership and business development experienceStrong knowledge in the sale of post frame buildingsProven track record in increasing top line sales revenue and bottom line resultsExperience and proven ability to implement effective systems, processes, and metricsEntrepreneurial thinker, visionary with strategic planning skillsStrong language, mathematical, and reasoning skillsProficient with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn and use ERP systemsValid driver's license and record of the appropriate type and class to operate company vehiclesPhysical Requirements:Perform the position's physical functions with extensive mobility and ease including walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing, and using hands to operate tools necessary for the jobLocations:Quality Structures: Richmond, KS and Astro Buildings: Meade, NEField travel required primarily throughout KS, MO, NE, IA
