Director Of Specialty ServicesThe Director of Specialty Services provides operational and strategic leadership for Essen Health Care's specialty care programs. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, provider engagement, and service line growth across multiple specialty departments.The Director collaborates closely with physician leadership, practice administrators, and executive leadership to strengthen specialty access, improve patient outcomes, and drive operational excellence.Directors in healthcare leadership roles typically oversee clinical operations, develop policies, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality patient care across departments.Strategic LeadershipLead the development and execution of strategic initiatives for specialty service lines.Identify growth opportunities for specialty programs across Essen locations.Partner with executive leadership to expand specialty access and improve referral pathways.Monitor industry trends, healthcare regulations, and specialty care delivery models.Operational OversightOversee day-to-day operations of specialty clinics and programs.Ensure efficient patient flow, scheduling optimization, and provider productivity.Develop operational policies and procedures for specialty departments.Ensure alignment with organizational goals and population health initiatives.Provider & Staff LeadershipProvide leadership and support to specialty practice managers and clinical teams.Partner with physician leaders to strengthen provider engagement and performance.Assist with provider recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care.Financial & Performance ManagementDevelop and manage departmental budgets and financial performance.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including:Access to carePatient satisfactionProvider productivityRevenue cycle performanceImplement operational improvements to increase efficiency and service line profitability.Quality & ComplianceEnsure specialty services meet regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards.Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, and Population Health teams.Monitor clinical quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives.Support value-based care strategies and population health goals.Patient Experience & AccessImprove patient access to specialty services across the network.Address patient feedback and service improvement opportunities.Implement programs that enhance patient satisfaction and care coordination.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field requiredMaster's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH) preferredExperience710+ years of healthcare operations experience35+ years in leadership overseeing specialty practices or ambulatory servicesExperience working with physician groups or multispecialty medical organizations preferredSkills & CompetenciesHealthcare operations and practice managementStrategic planning and service line developmentFinancial management and budgetingStrong leadership and team developmentProvider relationship managementData-driven decision makingKnowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standardsEqual Opportunity Employer Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
