Job Title : PLC ProgrammerLocation : Houston, TX 77002 (Onsite) Duration : 12+ Months Must Have Skills:⦁ Siemens PLC (TIA Portal)⦁ PLC Programming (Ladder, ST, SFC)⦁ Ignition HMI⦁ Control System Architecture⦁ Industrial Protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, CANBUS)⦁ Source Code Management⦁ Change Control⦁ Lab Simulation TestingNice to Have Skills: ⦁ Drilling automation experience⦁ Battery Management Systems⦁ WinCC/Wonderware⦁ Multi-developer environments⦁ Automation tools/bots/AI accelerators Detailed Job Description:⦁ Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls, or Automation Engineering (or related field)⦁ 7+ years of proven PLC programming experience⦁ Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal⦁ Proficiency in developing complex control algorithms and applying control system theory⦁ Experience in HMI design and development (Ignition, WinCC, Wonderware or similar)⦁ Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, CANBUS, OPC UA, etc.)⦁ Ability to translate functional requirements into control system architecture and scalable solutions⦁ Experience designing system, loop, block, and network diagrams⦁ Experience generating technical documentation, drawings, and operation manuals⦁ Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of PLC-based control systems⦁ Experience working with formal software change control, versioning, and revision management⦁ Knowledge of modular programming practices, source code management, and QC/testing methodologies⦁ Ability to work independently while managing multiple parallel projects⦁ Strong written and verbal communication skills⦁ Willingness and ability to work in field environments, including drilling rigs, with travel and on-call support requirements
