Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

East Bank Club is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Lifeguard/Swim Instructors to join our team. As a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for weekly lifeguarding shifts and instructing swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels, as well as responsible for ensuring its members have a safe and enjoyable time in the water. You will be tasked with ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants while teaching proper swim techniques and water safety.Currently seeking a lifeguard for 9a-3p, and 11a-4p shifts during weekdays, and one day of weekend availability.Pay Rate:Lifeguard Hourly Rate: $17.00Swim Instructor: 100% commission. Commission structure: 40% of service revenue. Estimated earnings range: $24-33 per hour based on typical services volume.Privates30 minutes $16.00 60 minutes $32.00Youth groups 30 minutes $15.00Job Responsibilities:Greet and assist members utilizing the pool areaObserve assigned pool and surrounding areaEnforce all posted pool guidelinesEnforce Children's Rules and age restrictionsAssist Aerobics and Swim Instructors in setting up or facilitating classes including taking attendanceRelay any member relations problems to managementDevelop and implement swim lesson plansProvide individual and group instruction to participants of all ages and skill levelsAssess participant abilities and adjust instruction as neededEnsure a safe and positive learning environmentEnforce safety rules and guidelinesCommunicate effectively with participants and their parents/guardiansMaintain accurate records of participant progressAttend required meetings and training sessionsAssist with swim team or special aquatic events, as neededRequirementsRequirementsMust be authorized to work in the USA. We use E-VerifyPrevious lifeguarding and swim instruction experience preferredAmerican Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or equivalent preferredFirst Aid and CPR certification required (can be obtained after hire)This is a year-round position (not seasonal). If hired, your start date shall not surpass 3 weeks from the initial offer. Weekday and weekend availability is required during the months of August and September.
