This is an unpaid, seasonal internship scheduled up to 30 hours per week. This internship is ideal for those interested in veterinary or shelter medicine fields and provides the opportunity to assist our veterinary staff with a variety of duties and gain valuable experience. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and living arrangements. If you're looking for an opportunity that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and people while working alongside a supportive team, apply today!Key accountabilities:Preparing and/or administering animal treatmentsShadowing surgery preparation and surgical recoveryAssisting with the movement of patients, recovery of patients, and general flowCleaning of veterinary clinic and exam roomsAssisting with foster animal exams and rechecksQualifications:Able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job, which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
