Position Overview:The Senior Trust & Estate Strategist will provide expert guidance in complex estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and trust structures for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, strong independent judgment, and the ability to deliver customized planning solutions that support client goals. The Senior Strategist works closely with Advisors and other client-facing professionals, serving as a key resource for sophisticated planning needs while helping drive excellence across client experience. Key Responsibilities:Lead estate planning discussions with UHNW clients and their families, focusing on multigenerational planning, charitable giving, and wealth transferAnalyze and interpret complex estate planning documents, such as GRATs, IDGTs, SLATs, CLTs, CRTs, private foundations, and family partnershipsCollaborate with clients’ attorneys, CPAs, and other advisors to implement customized estate strategiesProvide in-depth guidance on trust structuring, entity planning, and ownership frameworks for complex asset typesServe as a trusted technical resource within the firm, supporting Advisors and colleagues on advanced estate topicsReview and design planning solutions in alignment with client values, goals, and tax efficiencyMonitor changes in legislation, tax law, and planning strategies, and apply insights across client situationsAssist in refining internal tools, processes, and workflows to improve the delivery of estate planning servicesContribute to mentoring and knowledge-sharing among Trust & Estate Strategists and team membersSupport content development or firm initiatives that enhance our estate planning offering and client experienceQualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; JD; LL.M. in Taxation, CFP®, or equivalent advanced designation a bonus8+ years of estate planning experience, including direct work with UHNW individualsDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex engagements from start to finishStrong communication skills with the ability to distill and present nuanced planning strategies clearlyProven track record of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and outside professionalsAdvanced understanding of estate, gift, and GST taxation, charitable planning vehicles, and trust designWhy Join Us:Joining our team means becoming part of a firm recognized by Financial Planning as one of the RIA to work for—a distinction that reflects our deep commitment to our people and our culture.
