Job Title: Controls System Engineer Location: Houston or Dallas, TX & Ottawa, KS (Onsite) Duration: Full Time Purpose of Position: To develop product system and subsystem models required to simulate vehicle characteristics that validate vehicle and safety performance. Additionally, to support other related product development tasks and project deliverables. Responsibilities include: Responsible for system modelling and simulation of all products within the Product Business line . In consultation and collaboration with the responsible Manager or Principal System Engineer. Develop and maintain system and subsystem models. Definition of test plans and analysis to increase model fidelity. Plan and perform activities according to specified requirements and time schedules. Support the process definition for Model development and integration. Verification and validation of vehicle control system functions using SIL and HIL simulation. Support with software development and troubleshooting as needed. Experience: Experience programming in C, C++ or other IDE's . Experience with System Modeling using Matlab/Simulink. Experience with CoDeSys Modeling environment preferred. Experience developing API's, ideally for vehicle control systems. Competencies: Strong aptitude towards control system logic, 7-Layer OSI model, Software development V model Strong understanding of vehicle electrical system topologies Working knowledge of CAN bus, Fieldbus, ISObus, and other control protocols Theoretical and applied knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulics and electrical systems related to mobile equipment preferred. Experience in Danfoss, Parker IQAN controllers Programming and validation. Experience in Control safety platform and Can be able to validate on vehicle (On board) testing. Experience in Software program development and troubleshooting support. Strong aptitude and desire to learn new software tools. Good communication, collaboration and team skills. Fluent in English both spoken and written. Education: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on simulation Job Type: Contract Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to Relocate: Houston, TX 77002: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
