Job Description
NYCOM ELECTRICAL CORP, a cooperative and collaborative team-oriented environment is looking for an experienced Electrician Foreman. The right candidate will be detail oriented, and work with precision and focus to deliver quality driven results.Candidate Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a journeyman in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures using blueprints, schematics and sketches. Must have a verifiable work history on this field OSHA 62-hour SST license required, other licenses and certifications a plus Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines, and heavy equipment. Experience inspecting installation sites. Experience studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installations procedures. Experience reading contract drawings. Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and components. Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, wiring, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans. Ability to perform interlock wiring as required. Experience testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices. Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate to cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem. Ability to instruct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Has a clear understanding of the latest edition of the NEC. Strong communications skills required (Bilingual a plus)Responsibilities Work to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project. Organize and coordinate all project materials and equipment. Read and interpret specifications, contract documents, plans, and prepares sketches of proposed work as well as producing layout drawings and code calculations for projects. Analyze and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner. Lead by example—set, monitor, and enforce the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by Nycom Electric. Conduct quality control inspections on project sites. Coordinates with all other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions.
