Strong SQL Server and Oracle expertise is required; GIS/Spatial Database experience is highly preferred.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of database administration experience.Strong experience with SQL Server 2012+ and Oracle 10g+.Relational database design, administration, performance tuning, and optimization.SQL code review and production troubleshooting experience.Ability to independently resolve complex enterprise database issues.Preferred SkillsAzure SQLAWS SQL tools/servicesArcGIS Server / ESRIGIS & Spatial DatabasesESRI SDE GeodatabasesKey ResponsibilitiesPerform daily SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS database administration.Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases.Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues.Conduct SQL code reviews and performance tuning.Develop database procedures, standards, and documentation.Support application enhancements and database rewrites.Collaborate with PMs, BAs, developers, and data teams.Train and mentor junior technical staff.ScheduleMust be flexible to work between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, including occasional Saturday/on-call support.Work Location: OIT Application Services, Barry Building, 3185 S.
