Construction Project Coordinator
Job Purpose: In this position, you coordinate administrative and communication activities to support the team in delivering projects within scope, schedule and budget.Project Coordination Accountabilities (80%)Coordinate job startup and closeout processMaintain project documentation per Team Nexus standardsKeep project status logs, submittal logs, and track change orders as requestedPrepare Submittals, Op & Maintenance Manuals, Closeout Manuals, Expediting Reports, etc.Prepare and distribute bid packagesAssist with invoices, budgets and schedule of valuesCoordinate with local utility rebate programs, tracking and reportingSolicit and track subcontractor spend-out schedulesAddress questions and problems with urgency, collaborate as neededClient & Consultant Accountabilities (20%)Share process standards and best practices to assure continuity and qualityAttend meetings and visit client sites as requested, record minutes as neededCommunicate with purchasing and outside vendors to order and expedite materialCoordinate with subcontractors, including routing correspondence and change documentsFacilitate informational vendor trainingReview and/or prepare contracts and assemble drawings, specifications and other resources to answer questions in a timely mannerCommunicate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners to assist Operations leadership with daily dutiesRequired QualificationsHigh School degree or equivalentA minimum of 7 years' experience in administrative function or business environment, preferably with a general contractor or construction firmAbility to solve problems effectively and efficientlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-directed and highly organized in approach to workAble to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated attention to detail and ability to shift focusSolid knowledge of Accounting practicesProven ability to operate with integrity and empathy and build lasting trust-based relationshipsStrong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office and BluebeamAble to travel occasionally and accommodate flexible schedulingPreferred QualificationsProject administration experienceProficiency with ProcoreExperience working with K-12 facilities, programs, and prioritiesThis job description is designed to provide a general summary of job responsibilities and expectations.
