Structural Design Engineer

Structural Design Engineer (small bridges, culverts, roadways) Due to continuous growth in 2026, Boswell is seeking an additional Junior to Mid-Level Structural Design Engineer to join our South Hackensack, NJ Team. In this role, training and mentoring will be provided on a consistent basis to enhance the right Candidate’s growth, knowledge base but a minimum of 2+ years of relevant structural design experience is required.Responsibilities includeStructural analysis and drafting of structural details using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3Design of both simple and complex bridges and culvertsNJDOT and NJ Turnpike Authority structural design is preferred but not requiredA wide variety of additional transportation-related structures including retaining walls,sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures, including waterfront structures and damsA variety of building and parking garage structures as well as pump stations and ancillary utility structuresCompliance with all internal standards, policies and proceduresRequirements/ QualificationsBS Degree in Civil Engineering with some experience or interest in structural analysis and drafting of structural details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D designExperience preferred in performing structural calculations and reports using Enercalc, STAAD.ProExperience preferred in designing reinforced concrete footings, foundations, and retaining wallsDesire to obtain Engineer-in-Training/ EIT Certification as soon as possibleExperience and skills preferred in AutoCAD and 3D DesignExcellent organizational skillsProven ability to work well in a team office environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel to sites as neededWe recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
