Position requires travel throughout MN and ND.Work Schedule & TravelSeasonal Full‑Time Position100% Travel Required – This role is based in the field at project locations and requires extended time away from homeCompensation$40.00 -$45.00 per hour depending on experience.DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.Plan, organize and execute daily operations with a crew of 5-8 people.Safely and properly supervise and coordinate activities of workers.Mentor and coach operators to ensure they achieve safety and production goals daily.Complete daily timecard, production and diary entries as required using packaged construction software.Communicate trucking needs to dispatch department. Accurately monitor trucking costs. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout, safety and environmental regulation compliance.Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (preferred Requirements I.e. Certifications, Software Use, Etc.)Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environmentMinimum 5 year’s experience in heavy civil construction.
