Dental Hygienist- Full or Part / Private Practice

We value energetic, detail-oriented professionals committed to promoting oral health and providing top-tier service in a fast-paced setting.Duties*Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment planning.Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow during patient visits.Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and review medical records for comprehensive patient care.Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding and compliance.Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.Support the dental team with administrative tasks including medical coding, documentation review, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Take radiographs (medical imaging) as needed while adhering to safety standards for both pediatric and adult patients.Maintain a thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team.Qualifications*Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification.Proven experience in dental office settings or dental clinics, with familiarity using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred.Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.Experience working with pediatric patients and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.Knowledge of medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice is a plus.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
