The company holds prestigious ASME ‘NPT’ and ‘N’ certifications, reflecting its dedication to the highest standards in nuclear and non-nuclear pump repairs and services.Role DescriptionIn collaboration with the President, the Quality Assurance Manager will implement and manage the quality assurance program to the requirements 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, including current NQA-1 requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain RER QA manual, documents, procedures, and train organizational members as a requirement of a 10CFR50 Appendix B, including NQA-1, quality assurance program. Maintain the necessary documents and procedures for N & NPT stamp approval from ASME.Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the quality assurance staff to ensure they are meeting or exceeding the RER quality specifications and standards.Maintain quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products.Audit quality systems, initiating corrective actions as required.Maintain and recommend inspection and quality assurance plans.Maintain process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas.Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity.Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company.Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted.Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action.Provide assistance to customers regarding quality problems or concerns.Review and approve equipment purchases.Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree and five to seven years of related experience; or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have experience training personnel on the nuclear quality program and procedures. Requires strong organizational and project management skills. Able to influence and direct work of individuals who do not report to this position. Strong ethics and the ability to exercise good judgment. Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance regulations, standards and guidelines (10CFR50 App.B, 10CFR21, NQA-1, etc.)
