If you have what it takes to become part of the Vistra family and would like to start a promising career with a global leader, take a look at the exciting employment opportunities that are currently available and apply online.Job SummaryGeneral analysis and implementation of generation technologies for application to Vistra operations or commercial development.Plan and manage long range programs and 3rd party resources to meet Luminant strategic objectivesManage programs and projects to enhance the commercial availability of new technologies and enhancement to existing technologies.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:Technical support for the development of commercial / environmental / reliability / sustainability interests in new technology applications.Subject matter expert in areas of value to VistraTechnical support to Operations in the application of technologies at operating plants or plants in developmentPerform complex root cause analysisProvide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problemsMay be responsible for developing other employees in areas of expertiseContributes to economic justification/analysis for projectsActively contributes to development and execution of company engineering strategies for engineering initiativesEducation, Experience & Skill Requirements:BS or greater in an Engineering disciplineLicensed Professional Engineer or meets additional years of experience requirementsRecognized within Vistra as a SME. Known and used by many as a technical resource.Demonstrates and applies knowledge of current and pending regulatory, code and general industry issues to resolve Vistra's interests.Proficient with business/technical evaluation processes.Proficient in fossil, solar, battery, or nuclear plant technologiesExtensive experience in power plant operations / engineering or comparable industriesMastery of fundamental scientific principlesStrong overall business acumenCommunication -Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management and/or represent Vistra's interests to outside agenciesOrganization, Planning and Control -Must be able to plan and execute corporate programsAble to execute projects/strategies with minimal oversight.Demonstrated high performer through consecutive evaluations or work history for external candidates.Key Metrics:Industry contributor in field of expertise to represent Vistra interests and increase knowledge of new technologiesProvides technical support on a fleetwide basisMaintain effective working relationships.
