Field Construction Manager
Title: Field Construction ManagerLocation: Denver, CODuration: 6 months contractJob Description:Manage roofing and electrical subcontractors to include, overseeing the operations of and project managing electricians in the field to ensure all jobs are completed to meet the highest standardsEngage with suppliers and Energy supply chain teamEnsure Energy’s scope is well communicated both internally throughout the organization and externally with all partnersForecast expected installation volume on a weekly and monthly basisMaintain accurate throughput reportingCoordinate schedules and partner resource utilization to deliver projects on time ensuring service levels are achievedTrack job progress, inspect and review project documentation, own and resolve any technical escalations.Maintain a working and technically informed relationship with partners, roofers, electricians and AHJsCommunicate with clients to keep them informed of progress on site and address any issues or escalationsPerform other duties as assignedWhat do we require from you?8+ years work experience in solar or homebuilding industryFamiliarity with new home construction processes is a plusElectrical contractor license is a plusExperience writing scope of work documents, managing sub-contractors, and handling project documentation.Strong communication skills across a wide variety of settings and audiences. Good listening skills are a must.Adaptable, personable, innovative, high tolerance for ambiguity and pressureProven experience working with cross-functional teamsHigh energy/high sense of urgency/fast-paced and can think on your feetSelf-motivated; has ability to manage workload autonomouslyComfortable working as a team player in a start-up environment where no job is too smallPrevious leadership experience with the ability to teach and guide electricians on technical projects.Skill in reading and interpreting construction plans, and making necessary corrections.Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.Strong problem-solving skills and quick to learn new systems.Highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently.Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time if needed.Physical RequirementsMust be able to wear safety equipment (weighing up to 15 lbs) and perform work at heights.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs.Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus is required.Must be able to walk, stand, and maintain balance on sloped surfaces such as roofs.Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing is required.Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of tools and equipment is required.Communicating verbally in person and through automated devices such as the telephone are required.
