Building Services Supervisor

Position SummaryThe Building Services Supervisor contributes to an excellent patron and employee experience by ensuring the overall cleanliness and appearance of Peace Center facilities through various janitorial tasks and duties. This position requires constant observance and use of Peace Center safety policies and procedures in the execution of job duties and supervises other housekeeping staff.Position ResponsibilitiesHelps supervise housekeeping staff during regular hours and assists in training personnel in proper methods and proceduresServes as the Building Services authority in absence of the Building Services DirectorPerforms daily housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of Peace Center campus, including but not limited to Concert Hall, Gunter Theater, administrative offices, Huguenot Loft Space, Mill Lobby, The Mockingbird, Coach Music Factory, restrooms, conference rooms, and break areaPerforms all duties of a housekeeping staff member when necessaryHelps maintain inventory of equipment, materials and suppliesOversees use of storage areasMay perform maintenance jobs not requiring a skilled tradespersonCommunicates regularly with the Building Services Director on building repairs and conditionsUtilizes cleaning materials such as broom, vacuums, squeegees, mops, blowers, chemicals, spray bottles, moving furnitureOperates power equipment such as vacuums (back-pack and upright), power sweepers, carpet and upholstery cleaners, scrubbers and buffers, pressure washers, trash compactor, dolly and hand truck as needed to perform job dutiesDemonstrate superior customer service skills in order to enhance the experience of donors, patrons, and all members of the general publicObserve all company safety and security policies to ensure safety of self, patrons and coworkers.Other duties as assignedRequirements And QualificationsHigh school diplomaWorking knowledge of housekeeping and janitorial procedures and ability to operate the related equipment.Knowledge of janitorial products and application procedures to ensure safety.Ability to work with members of the public, volunteers, outside production crews and casts.Self-motivated and able to stay busy without constant supervisionConsistent and accurate workPrevious experience in a supervisory role preferred
