The role involves hands-on deployment and support of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC 9800) across client sites.This is an ideal opportunity for professionals experienced in network installations, structured cabling, and field services looking for flexible, on-demand assignments.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform rack & stack installations and structured cablingInstall Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (2 per site)Execute fiber optic connectivity, SFP installation, and patching (fiber & Ethernet)Handle power/network cross-connections and validate switchportsStage hardware prior to cutover activitiesSupport remote network teams during cutover and validate installationsTroubleshoot connectivity and physical layer issues onsiteDecommission legacy WLC devices and manage packing & return logisticsProject ScopeDispatch / On-demand assignments (ticket-based)Typically 1 site per day (small to medium sites)Weekend work required for larger deploymentsRequired SkillsHands-on experience in network deployment & field supportStrong knowledge of Cisco WLC (9800 series preferred)Expertise in fiber optics, SFP modules, and structured cablingExperience with rack & stack and switchport validationUnderstanding of LAN/WAN networking fundamentalsAbility to work independently in onsite environmentsTools & EquipmentMust Have:Console cableMobile hotspotLabel makerRack mounting toolsReimbursable:SFP modulesFiber patch cordsEthernet patch cablesIdeal CandidateField Engineer / Network Engineer / Deployment Engineer / Deskside SupportExperience in onsite IT deployments, datacenter support, or network rolloutsComfortable with dispatch-based, flexible work model
