Remote Mortgage Closing Manager

Position: Mortgage Closing Manager Remote - Eastern Hours Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 base salary, plus annual merit-based performance bonus Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with match, generous PTO and holidays, learning and development, and advancement opportunities Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Mortgage Closing Manager to lead and strengthen closing operations. This role is responsible for keeping the closing department running smoothly, managing workflow and pipeline activity, supporting a talented team, maintaining compliance, partnering on technology improvements, and ensuring borrowers have a strong experience at the finish line of the mortgage process. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing people, improving processes, and keeping a high-volume closing operation organized, compliant, and accountable. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day closing department operations, including scheduling, workflow, and pipeline management. Lead, mentor, and develop closing coordinators and title/escrow specialists. Partner with IT on technology improvements that support closing operations and the client experience. Review and approve closing packages, Closing Disclosures, title commitments, and disbursement authorizations. Maintain compliance with federal and state requirements, including RESPA, TRID, CFPB guidelines, and internal policies. Build effective working relationships with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, attorneys, and real estate agents to support smooth, on-time closings. Serve as the escalation point for complex or time-sensitive transactions. Track closing volume, turn times, error rates, and client satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement. Create and maintain closing procedures, training materials, and team playbooks. Qualifications 5+ years of mortgage closing experience. At least 2 years of experience leading a team. Strong knowledge of residential closing processes, title insurance, and real estate law. Strong familiarity with TRID/RESPA requirements and Closing Disclosure preparation. Experience using LOS platforms such as Encompass, Hawthorne, or similar systems. Ability to stay calm under pressure and lead a team through deadlines, escalations, and complex files. Clear, confident communication skills with internal teams, clients, partners, and direct reports. Interest in using technology to improve operations and the customer experience.
