EHS Manager
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's EHS programs and policies to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. This role will focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, safety training, and environmental stewardship within the steel fabrication industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
Highly motivated individual
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant certifications are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and standards
Able to Organize and Manage Reporting Requirements
Attention to detail and precision
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to conduct training and audits. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software
Company Management Software/ERP experience preferred

This role requires working in both office and manufacturing environments, with regular visits to production areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and enforce EHS programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Regularly update EHS policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards within the steel fabrication environment.
Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and maintain required EHS documentation and records.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety training, and emergency response.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among all employees.
Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain records of incidents and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with Maintenance Personnel on waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation programs.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
Work closely with all departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions and processes.
Communicate EHS performance metrics and reports to senior management.
