Unit: Neuro Critical Care Unit (Neuro ICU) — neurocritical care / neuro ICU nurse role Assignment Type: Travel Contract (travel nurse, traveling RN) Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: July 6, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 hours Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week — night shift RN Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 Orientation: 16 hours On-Call/Weekend: As needed Job Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Neuro ICU experience with prior travel assignment, OR 3 years recent Neuro ICU experience without travel License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or Compact State (must be in hand at time of submission) Travel Experience: At least 1 completed previous travel assignment required unless meeting 3-year Neuro ICU experience requirement Education: ADN or BSN accepted (BSN not required for this unit) Charting: Cerner experience preferred (electronic medical record experience) Distance Requirement: Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (strictly enforced) Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required Other: All requested time off must be included at submission; must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult neurocritical patients in the Neuro ICU — critical care nurse / ICU nurse responsibilities Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and ongoing neuro monitoring Administer and titrate critical care medications and infusions per protocols Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate individualized patient care plans Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner preferred) Educate and support patients and families during critical care and recovery Float to similar units within a 20-mile radius if needed (rare) Apply now to bring your Neuro ICU RN expertise to Midtown Memphis.
