HouseMaster, a growing property inspection company, is seeking individuals to join our team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary based on experience and qualifications.Travel to home inspection sites in northwest New Mexico and southwest ColoradoSuggest possible improvements and discuss potential safety concernsReview plans ensuring they meet building and local ordinancesInspect plumbing, heating, roofing, structural and electrical for condition and potential safety concernsKeep daily logs, write reports and take photographsQualifications and Requirements2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair experience requiredStrong understanding of building codes, laws and government regulationsDegree in construction preferredValid driver's licenseExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to study, test and pass state required licensingStrong attention to detail and a positive attitudePhysically fit for climbing ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of timeAble to lift 50 lbsMay be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or otherBenefits and PerksExtensive training/Field trainingPaid trainingCompetitive compensation & bonus opportunitiesCompany vehicle providedCompany tools providedCompensation: $36,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearHouseMaster has been providing quality home inspections for buyers, sellers, and agents since it was first founded in 1979.
