You will oversee field support engineers, customer installations, startup activities, troubleshooting efforts, FAT/SAT execution, and long-term customer operational success.This role serves as the bridge between AeroSpec’s engineering teams, manufacturing operations, and customer production environments.You will assume ownership of field execution activities after internal machine integration and guide projects through deployment, installation, startup, production stabilization, customer support, and closeout.The ideal candidate combines:Strong project management capabilityTechnical and responsivenessMonitor project budgets, labor utilization, service costs, and change requestsCoordinate emergency support responses and escalation managementDrive closure of customer issues through structured troubleshooting and accountabilityTeam Leadership & Technical CoordinationLead and mentor Field Support Engineers and cross-functional support personnelCoordinate activities between controls engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and field teamsPrioritize customer issues and assign technical resources effectivelySupport daily standups, deployment reviews, and customer readiness meetingsFacilitate communication between field teams and factory engineering during troubleshooting effortsEnsure accurate documentation of field issues, corrective actions, and lessons learnedDevelop department processes, standards, and continuous improvement initiativesCustomer Relationship ManagementServe as primary escalation point for customer support and field operationsBuild long-term customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical leadershipConduct regular customer status meetings and communicate project risks proactivelyAligning customer expectations with AeroSpec execution capabilitiesIdentify opportunities for future business, upgrades, and service growthSupport proposal development and customer presentations for field service and support programsTechnical & Operational LeadershipOversee FAT, SAT, ATP, commissioning, and production startup activitiesSupport troubleshooting of automation systems including:PLC systemsRoboticsMotion controlVision systemsElectrical and mechanical integrationAssist teams in diagnosing complex equipment and production issuesCollaborate with engineering to implement corrective actions and system improvementsSupport Agile-style execution and bug tracking workflows during deployment and stabilization phasesEnsure compliance with AeroSpec safety and quality standards in all field activitiesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or related technical field5+ years’ experience in automation, manufacturing, field service, or technical project leadershipExperience leading customer-facing technical teamsStrong understanding of industrial automation systems and manufacturing environmentsAbility to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentationExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and technical escalations simultaneouslyWillingness to travel as needed to support customer operationsPreferredExperience with custom machinery, robotics, or capital equipment deploymentPrior field service management or customer operations leadership experienceExperience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robotics, or industrial automation troubleshootingAgile, Scrum, or hybrid project management experiencePMP or Scrum certificationFamiliarity with FAT/SAT execution and commissioning processesExperience managing service budgets, billability, and resource planningKnowledge of ERP, DevOps, or
