HMIS TECHNICAL LEAD - REMOTEOur client is seeking an HMIS Technical Lead to design and implement the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) workstream in support of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This is a 12+ month contract, fully remote, open only to U.S. citizens. The Technical Lead will oversee the HMIS technical team, ensuring compliance with HUD’s data model and reporting requirements, and fostering collaboration with other solution architects and technical leaders.Note: No third-party candidates or visa sponsorships will be considered. U.S. citizens only.What You’ll DoLead the design and implementation of the HMIS workstream, aligning all development with HUD’s data model and reporting requirements.Oversee and guide the technical team assigned to HMIS.Collaborate with the Data Architect to ensure the data model supports HUD’s requirements and is extensible for future changes.Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure the HMIS and Case Management solutions are loosely coupled, preventing cross-impact from updates.Partner with the Lead QA Analyst to develop robust testing protocols, ensuring policy changes in Case Management have no negative impact on HMIS.Guarantee consistent, repeatable HUD report generation by applying best practices and effective testing.What You’ll Bring10+ years of technical experience, preferably with demonstrated work at HUD.Expertise in HMIS design, data modeling, and reporting aligned to HUD standards.Proven success leading technical teams within government projects.Strong collaboration skills with architects, developers, and QA leaders.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.Bonus Points ForPrior experience ensuring interoperability between HMIS and Case Management systems.Strong background in enterprise data architecture and reporting solutions.
