Assembly TechnicianWe are looking for an Assembly and Testing Technician to perform hands-on manufacturing tasks. This position will be full-time and on-site located in Hampton, VA on a 2nd shift; 2:15pm-12:45am. Will need to train on 4-8 weeks on first shift.What You'll DoFollow standardized work instructions for the assembly of components in accordance with top/sub-level drawingsTest electronics/mechanical parts assemblies requiring good hand-eye coordinationRead and comprehend manufacturing drawings, S.O.Ps., and OMSMaintain high cleanliness standards during shifts and responsible areasDemonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement in all dutiesFollow all directions and safety protocolsUse microscopes and small hand toolsApply job skills and company policies and proceduresPerform varied and semi-routine tasks; overtime may be requiredWhat You'll NeedRequired:Technology manufacturing experience (electronic or mechanical, sensor component technology manufacturing)Using microscopesUsing small hand tools1+ years of experienceSteel-toed shoesAbility to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions and product specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityAbility to work in a clean room environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Commitment to safety and quality standardsStrong written and verbal communication skills in English to read signage, understand documentation, and communicate processesPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorMust be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in personSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.$23.10 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
