Please complete the full Faculty Application on our website at: https://www.newhopememphis.org/join-our-team and not through the LinkedIn "Easy Apply" button, thanks!Responsibilities: • Demonstrate a love for God and His children. • Lead students in daily worship through prayer, singing, scripture memory, service, and teaching Biblical truths. • Integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of the day. • Create a classroom culture that is warm and friendly, full of joy, curiosity, and care. • Maintain a standard of classroom behavior through clear expectations and procedures to ensure the safety and preservation of the learning environment. • Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the classroom. • Administer regular assessments and analyze data to inform teaching and development of individual goals for students. • Demonstrate a commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. • Knowledgeable of social and emotional development in elementary children. • Create an educational environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the needs of all students. • Develop instructional materials and lesson plans tailored to students' individual needs. • Use research-backed strategies with school-approved curricula to teach students and enhance their academic, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. • Keep detailed, accurate student records as required by law and regulations. • Consistently communicate proactively and promptly with parents/guardians through weekly newsletters, class and individual updates in the Class Dojo, parent-teacher conferences, and other parent meetings as needed. • Actively participate in the school community by attending events, staff meetings, discipleship sessions, and other opportunities. • Work with the grade-level team and co-curricular colleagues to promote the development of the whole child. • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by the principal. Qualifications and Attributes: • Bachelor’s degree or higher • Teacher Licensure is preferred. • A professing Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to Christcentered education. • Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position. • Have a track record of holding high expectations for every student and faithfully working to foster student development and achievement. • Possess strong content and pedagogical knowledge of Social Studies and Science.
