Sales Consultant and Broker
Position SummaryAs a Sales Consultant/Broker at OneWater Marine, you will guide customers through the boat purchasing and selling process while delivering a premium customer experience. The role combines traditional sales responsibilities with brokerage duties, including preparing broker agreements, managing listings, and assisting with valuations and resale transactions. Candidates should be passionate about boating, experienced in new and pre-owned vessel sales, and driven to exceed volume and margin goals through exceptional service.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesGreeting and engaging with walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and online leads using OneWater sales tools such as CRM.Building relationships by understanding customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.Preparing and executing broker agreements and managing brokerage listings in CRM and digital platforms.Managing the entire sales process from presentations through quotes, trade evaluations, and pricing to meet margin and customer satisfaction goals; partnering with the business manager on finance requirements.Closing sales and meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales goals.Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of store offerings, boat models, brands, features, accessories, and industry trends.Providing post-sale support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and addressing follow-up queries to promote repeat business.Coordinating sea trials, surveys, and inspections for brokerage vessels.Professionally presenting new and pre-owned inventory, highlighting features, benefits, and competitive advantages.Attending sales meetings and actively participating in boat shows, store, and off-site sales events.Assisting customers with listing their boats for resale, including pricing, staging, and documentation.Performing all other duties as assigned.SkillsStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive, customer-oriented attitude.Qualifications / RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce or similar platforms).Prior experience in marine sales is a plus.Solid understanding of marine products, accessories, and boating trends is preferred.Physical DemandsThe position requires stationary standing or sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive hand and wrist motions, occasional movement between work sites, and light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 20 lb.
