CNC Lead Machinist - 2nd Shift

Then it is time for us to make your acquaintance.RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze and ensure accuracy of work orders, drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications.Coordinate with other functional areas as needed to implement and maintain quality requirements.Troubleshooting of CNC machines must be strong in correcting any issues that may arise in production.Observe machining runs - ensure programs and machinery will function properly and produce components that meet specifications.Document all steps taken through a production run to create robust setup notes to streamline future processes.Assist and train junior machinists/apprentices with any production issues that may ariseMaintain continual knowledge of production progress at each machine/cell and provide status updates to management as needed.Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager on all new projects to effectively devise the most accurate and expedient solutions.Skilled to make adjustments as required to machining processes to ensure finished parts meet customer specifications.This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected. Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required.*REQUIREMENTS:Required Skills:Blueprint reading, basic math, and understanding of measuring devices.Strong working knowledge of all GD&T symbols and applications.Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Must have VERY strong and effective communication skills.Willingness and desire to learn and receive training as needed.Strong ability to pass along knowledge to junior machinists.Basic to mid-level machine maintenance knowledge.Maintaining tolerances to +/-.0005.Proficient with precision measurement tools.Education and Experience:High school diploma, or equivalentCNC Machining: 5-10 yearsVMC 4 axis experience preferred, but not requiredProgramming experience 1-2 years.Certificate of any formal training in CNC machining, or equivalent experience.Location: Charlotte, NCIn return, we offer you exciting and challenging responsibilities, diverse perspectives with a high degree of individual freedom and a corporate culture that encourages you to use it.Curious?
