Quality ManagerCompany: A Family-Owned Precision Machining CompanyLocation: Genesee County, MIJob Type: Full-Time, direct hirePosition SummaryOur client, a family-owned precision machining company, is committed to quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain their Quality Management System. This role will oversee several team members and ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines while driving quality excellence across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support all aspects of the company's Quality Management System (QMS)Manage Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) and nonconformance issues through to resolutionOversee final inspection of parts, including approvals, rejections, and documentationMaintain and organize quality records, including certifications, drawings, and quality foldersServe as the Management Representative and participate in Management Review Board activitiesDevelop, communicate, and track quarterly quality objectivesGenerate and maintain quality documentation including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), APQP, and related reportsCollaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and quality standardsReview and assist in developing and maintaining product work instructionsLead, mentor, and oversee quality team members to ensure performance and accountabilitySupport leadership with quality-related initiatives as neededMinimum QualificationsKnowledge of AS9100 standardsExperience with First Article Inspections (FAIRs)High level of blueprint reading and interpretation skillsExperience using a variety of inspection and measurement equipmentPrior management or leadership experienceAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsProficiency with basic computer systemsUnderstanding of customer, supplier, and regulatory requirementsStrong foundational math skillsOur client will train on proprietary systems and methodsPreferred QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of industry standards and specificationsWhy Join This Opportunity?Join a well-established, family-owned precision machining companyOpportunity to lead and develop a quality teamCollaborative, team-oriented cultureDirect impact on operations and continuous improvementStrong potential for long-term growth
