(Competent)Responsibilities• Patient Care: Demonstrates consistent use of nursing process in daily practice and manages more complex patients with minimal assistance.• Knowledge and Skills: Identifies personal learning needs to be competent in area of practice; independently performs advanced skills; begins to assist others to develop skills using the teaching/learning process.• Professional Relationships/Leadership: Initiate and effectively demonstrate behaviors which result in positive patient outcomes through group process; identifies need to change own practice based on PI/QI outcomes.• Quality Improvement/Research: Expands understanding of research process and the specific application to nursing practiceKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPatient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
