The firm is dedicated to creating functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with client goals.Role DescriptionAAI Engineering is seeking a part-time (15-25 hours per week based on workload) Licensed Independent Contract Landscape Architect to join our team remotely in Beaverton, OR. Some On-Site work is required for site visits and coordination. The Landscape Architect will be responsible for designing outdoor spaces, creating planting plans, and developing comprehensive landscape designs. Additional tasks include planning landscapes in alignment with project specifications and client requirements while collaborating with other team members to deliver aesthetic and sustainable solutions.Required QualificationsProficiency in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design.Experience with Landscaping and Landscape Planning.Ability to create detailed and accurate Planting Plans.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and multidisciplinary teamsProficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Land FX, or similar Landscape design software.Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.Licensure as a Landscape Architect in Oregon, required. Washington Preferred.Can complete quality work within budget and timelines.Job DescriptionThis individual will be responsible for the landscape architecture of a variety of projects types and responsibilities include:Coordination with clients, jurisdictions, the public, and other in-house design professionals such as engineers and planners.Writing proposals and estimating project budgets.Establishing general landscape requirements with clients. Working to satisfying both the client’s needs and using your knowledge of what will work best.Selecting appropriate landscape materials for the project scale and budget, working creatively within set design parameters to ensure a successful outcome.Preparing and accurately producing detailed plans and working drawings from schematic design through construction documentation using AutoCAD/LandFX. Work may include setting up sheets, line work/drafting, planting and irrigation plans, site furnishing plants, detailing and product selection and technical specifications.Monitoring and checking work on-site, reviewing submittals and RFI’s, and preparing substantial completion punch lists and other project closeout tasks related to landscape construction.Project management, including reviewing billing, establishing schedules, overseeing project progress, attending meetings and ensuring deadlines are met. *AAI Engineering does not work with third-party recruiters or agencies.
