Job title: MLOps EngineerEngagement type: B2B, freelanceDuration: 14/10/2026 – 18/12/2026 (extension likely)Location: REMOTE (Europe)Seeking for a Junior/Mid-Level Databricks Engineer to join a short-term project focused on scaling an existing Databricks Genie Space with data from additional production plants.This is a hands-on engineering role combining data engineering, MLOps and data quality, with a strong focus on making sure new plant data is production-ready and usable within an existing chatbot environment.Responsibilities Onboarding new production plant data sources into DatabricksDeveloping and validating Bronze / Silver / Gold ETL pipelinesPerforming data investigations and quality assessmentsUsing Python, PySpark and SQL for data processing and analysisRefining a Databricks Genie Space with plant-specific context and business logicTroubleshooting and debugging data/pipeline issuesWorking with Git, CI/CD and unit testingSupporting the implementation of a simple Python-based dashboardEnsuring new datasets are healthy, reliable and ready for production useRequirementsMust-have:Strong Python skillsHands-on PySpark experienceStrong SQL and data analysis skillsExperience working with DatabricksUnderstanding of ETL/data pipelinesExperience with Git, CI/CD and unit testingStrong troubleshooting and debugging mindsetFluent EnglishNice to have:Experience within manufacturingExposure to MES (Manufacturing Execution System) dataPrevious experience with Databricks Genie / AI-enabled data platforms
