Job Description:
The Sales Coach will be instrumental in driving the performance and development of the sales team. This position provides hands-on support, training, and personalized coaching to both sales representatives and managers while helping shape and reinforce best practices, deliver impactful training sessions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the sales organization.
Duties and responsibilities
Provide individualized coaching to sales agents and managers, including development plans and actionable feedback
Analyze performance data to identify trends, obstacles, and areas for improvement
Partner with sales leadership to develop strategies that drive performance and productivity
Ensure adherence to established sales processes and recommend improvements based on market trends and team feedback
Support the implementation of tools and technologies to boost sales efficiency
Serve as the first line of support for agent-reported issues and troubleshooting
Foster a positive, high-energy team culture through motivation, collaboration, and recognition efforts
Skills and competencies
Strong computer skills, including comfort navigating multiple systems and learning new tools quickly
Proficiency with Windows-based applications and cloud-based platforms used for virtual collaboration and documentation
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow compliance and process guidelines
Ability to receive feedback and apply coaching effectively
Strong organizational and time management skills
Minimum education and experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Active resident Health Insurance Producer License
Previous experience as a licensed sales agent handling inbound or outbound sales calls
Must obtain and maintain non-resident licenses as needed in: AL, AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TX, VA, WA
Must successfully complete a Simulated Call Assessment facilitated by a Vendor Lead or SME before being assigned to a team
Required to attend all initial and refresher training sessions assigned to sales agents
Experience coaching or mentoring others in a sales environment is a plus
