Programs Management Director

OPPORTUNITY UTS Systems, LLC is currently seeking applicants for a Director of Programs, work location is negotiable, with reporting functions tied to our Fairfield, VA facility. This position will report directly to the VP of Programs. The Company maintains four facilities: one in Fairfield, VA, two in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and one in Massillon, Ohio. JOB DESCRIPTION · Plan, execute, and oversee proposal efforts for assigned projects within the program portfolio · Assemble and manage cross-functional teams to accomplish program goals within cost, schedule, and performance metrics · Keep clients and internal stakeholders informed about program status, challenges, and solutions · Manage program progress and resource allocation, track budgets, and adapt program completion as required · Prepare and report on program progress by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data · Represent the company, manage, and execute all aspects of defense contracts · Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies · Manage research and development efforts related to existing and/or new products associated with program/project completion · Travel to execute program goals · Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs QUALIFICATIONS · Confident presentation and interpersonal skills · Strong analytical and critical thinking skills · Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Pro suite EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree · Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) IDEAL EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS · Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in project management · Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working closely with the Department of Defense/War · Experience with government contracting and the acquisition process Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Fairfield, VA 24435
