Bookkeeping Specialist

What You'll Do...As a dedicated Bookkeeping Specialist at H&R Block, you will play an essential role in providing top-notch bookkeeping and payroll services while delivering outstanding customer support. Your expertise will help us achieve our mission of assisting and inspiring communities everywhere. What You'll Bring to the Role:Accurately record financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers. Reconcile and balance accounts to ensure financial integrity. Generate and analyze detailed financial statements. Prepare and process payroll smoothly and efficiently. Prepare tax documents, including 1099s and W2s. Effectively communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors, and banks. Support client retention strategies and identify growth opportunities. Your Expertise:High school diploma or equivalent. National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or a commitment to obtain these certifications. 1-3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to interpret detailed instructions, policies, and regulations. Professionalism and discretion in managing confidential information. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to multitask and thrive independently. It Would Be Even Better If You Also Had...Experience with Xero accounting software. *This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block.
