About the Role
The Apprentice Diesel Technician is an entry-level role focused on developing the skills needed to become a fully qualified Diesel Technician.
You’ll gain hands-on experience working on heavy-duty trucks while learning directly from experienced technicians. This role is designed to grow into a Diesel Technician position within 1–2 years.
What You’ll Do
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, filters, belts, hoses)
Assist with engine, brake, and drivetrain repairs
Support basic electrical work (batteries, lights, starters, alternators)
Inspection & Support
Inspect vehicles and report findings to senior technicians
Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting
Shop Responsibilities
Follow shop procedures and safety standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Accurately document work performed
What You Bring
0–2 years of mechanical experience or trade/technical school training
High school diploma or GED
Basic tool set (minimum requirements apply)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a team environment
Work Environment
This is a hands-on shop role that includes:
Working with heavy equipment and mechanical systems
Frequent standing, lifting 50+ pounds, and physical activity
Exposure to noise, heat, and shop conditions
