Paint Technician

Job Purpose:The Paint Technician is responsible for the proper application of paints - one of the last major aesthetic and functional processes in the assembly of helmets. They operate painting machines and tools and use the specified paint mixes in according with engineering specifications, painting procedures and standards.Duties:Verify surfaces in preparation for paint applicationMix paint to match color specificationsImplement the paint mixes as specified by the engineersPour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixes for proper paint flow and coating thickness.Maintain correct inventoryOperate automated paint systemsAssist the industrial engineers in ensuring that the painting processes adopted are performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.Assist in the development of new paint solutionsMonitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as runs and streaks, and correct their causesWear protective apparel and face masks, including a respirator, against spray fumesOther duties as neededRequired Skills/Qualifications:Reliable; Excellent AttendanceAble to work on the computerGood communication with employees and managementAble to interact with diverse personalitiesAble to always work in a professional mannerAble to take directionFlexible schedule when neededPreferred Skills/Qualifications:Prior experience is recommended
